PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposed permanent closure of a portion of kent street, georgetown
The Town of Three Rivers is providing public notice of its intention to permanently close and discontinue a portion of Kent Street in Georgetown as a public street.
The proposed closure applies to the portion of Kent Street contained within Parcel 2025-1, as identified on the Plan of Survey attached to the proposed Portion of Kent Street, Georgetown, Street Closure Bylaw #2026-03. A continuing easement for municipal public infrastructure will be maintained within the affected property. The proposed closure area is shown on Schedule โAโ of the draft bylaw.
The proposed closure is being considered pursuant to section 213 of the Municipal Government Act, which requires Council to provide public notice and hold a public hearing before permanently closing a municipally owned street.

Members of the public are invited to attend the hearing and provide comments regarding the proposed permanent street closure.
A copy of the draft bylaw and survey plan is available here and may also be reviewed at the Town Office during regular business hours.
