The rivers that flow through the Town of Three Rivers have shaped our communities for generations. From Indigenous history and early settlement to recreation, wildlife, and conservation, the Brudenell, Cardigan, and Montague Rivers continue to play an important role in our region.

The Three Rivers Heritage Association has partnered with the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) and Parks Canada to develop an interactive online StoryMap that showcases the natural, cultural, and historical significance of these waterways. Through maps, photos, and engaging stories, you'll discover the unique landscapes, ecosystems, and heritage that contribute to the rivers' designation as part of the Canadian Heritage Rivers System.
