Water and sewer upgrades for Georgetown

Upcoming water and sewer upgrades on Kent Street in Georgetown will improve the town’s system and connect it to the business park.

Dates: Work will start on Monday, October 6 and is expected to be completed in late November.

Traffic: 

  • A 750-meter detour will be in place along Kent Street, from Grafton Street to George Street.
  • Local traffic will be allowed through the work zone.
  • Signs in place and signalers on site to guide traffic.

Safety: 

  • Traffic should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
